Practice Description

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the  M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center- East Bank,  Interventional Radiology team. In collaboration with the attending physicians, the Nurse Practitioner will provide consult services to patients referred to the Interventional Radiology care team. They will engage in independent decision-making about health care needs and will provide health care services to individuals. The Nurse Practitioner will manage the outpatient/inpatient consult role, and will not be providing clinical/procedural care to patients.  The Nurse Practitioner will obtain patient histories through thorough chart review, provide patient and family education, and ensure continuity of health care services by collaborating with the Interventional radiology team, referring providers, attending inpatient providers, and scheduling staff. The Nurse Practitioner creates and promotes an environment of evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary care delivery.

Practice Details:

  • Opening:  1.0 FTE
  • Supports 8 Interventional Radiology physicians.
  • Supports 5 clinical/procedural Physician Assistants
  • Works with a majority of adult patient population
  • Works in a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
  • Schedule details: Monday-Friday: day hours, no weekends, no holidays
  • As a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), our physicians/providers use a multidisciplinary team approach in managing clinical care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner training program
  • Current Minnesota APRN license or ability to obtain and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges
  • Certified or be eligible for certification with ANCC / AANP
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Privileges and Credentialing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical experience in Interventional Radiology, Transplant, Oncology, and/or Specialty Care
